The Blue Circle is committed to sustainable development by developing renewable energy project in a manner that is highly reverential for the communities around which we work. TBC is committed to enhance the sustainability value of the project by adhering to the United nations global compact goals and develop the site-specific CSR Plan harmonized with the sustainable development goals.

 Policy Statement:

  • To provide a strategic, effective, and efficient mechanism to manage ongoing support from the Project to the local communities in the Project area.

  • Support sustainable local development.

  • Promote a clean local environment, including renewable energy.

  • Support local communities impacted by COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Support in improving local medical services.

We are committed to:

  • Conduct business operations impartiality and transparently.

  • Attempt and ensure effective environmental management and social development practice and respect the Environment & Social Policy of TBC.

  • Promoting health, environment, and sustainable development goals.

  • Identify and engage with our stakeholders (including local communities and local NGOs).

  • Ensure well-timed, comprehensive, principled, and transparent dialogue exchange throughout the life of a project.

  • Establish formal grievance mechanisms as part of our overall Stakeholder engagement plan.

  • Implementing meaningful and effective strategies for community engagement.

  • Provide safe working environment for local communities.

  • Adheres to the principle of good governance and complies with national law and TBC’s policy relating to anti-corruption.

  • Support and respect the protection of human rights, by treating all parties including employees, community and society with respect for human values.

  • Abide by:

    o   Applicable National laws of the country.

    o   Respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

    o   ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

 Responsibility:

  • Development of project specific CSR Plan – Chief Sustainability Officer & ESG Team.

  • Budgeting – Chief Sustainability Officer.

  • Implementation of CSR Activities – ESG Team (Project specific).

  • Monitoring & Reporting – ESG Team & CSO.

Approach: 

ESG team identifies CSR activities via secondary research and conducting real time interview with the local communities & authorities. The CSR plan is designed after determining real ground issues and solutions to the problem. Drafting & Implementation of CSR plan follows the below mentioned process.
